| I have a 68 Camaro and all stock except for carb, intake and distributor, and I cant get rid of backfiring through the carb. Any ideas--??? |

| A lean condition can cause that. Check it out. |

Maybe is your timing thats not right. Check that out.  |

| Also check your timing with a lamp. I'd first look at your timing,..set it for about 35 degrees total. |

| Not enough timing will cause popping through the carb. |

| A bad cam will pop through the carb also. |
