I HAVE A 69 CAMARO WITH A MILD 350 MOTOR AND A T.H. 350 TRANNY. I RECENTLY BOUGHT A MUNCIE M20 ON EBAY WHICH CAME OFF OF ANOTHER 69 CAMARO. WHICH BELLHOUSINGS, CLUTCH SIZE, FLY WHEEL, AND SHIFTER ARE RECOMMENDED? I DO NOT PLAN TO DRAG RACE. I WOULD LIKE TO PUT CORRECT ITEMS TOGETHER. PLEASE ADVISE.

The bellhousing depends on the size of the clutch you want to use. The "621" bellhousing is for an 11" clutch and is rather spendy to find. A non- correct 11" bellhousing is less expensive but I can't remember the casting number right now. The 10 1/2 " clutch was more common and there are a few bellhousings for them but one of them was used in the Z28's and bring big money, even if it originally came on a 6 cylinder. If the budget will support it, I recommend getting a new flywheel, unless you are familiar with what to look for in an used one as far as damage and if there is enough material left to have it resurfaced again, which is absolutely critical with a new clutch disc. Either size pressure plate and disc are available right from a dealer and for all but high hp applications works as well as any aftermarket. You will need the linkage for this changeover too and I would recommend finding original used parts. The aftermarket "kits" aren't as well built or good fitting. Make sure you are getting parts for the small block application. The big block parts are different. Same for the pedals inside. Look around on the web and swap meets for them too. Be careful on the pedals. The 67-68 look nearly identical to the 69's but are different. I believe they will interchange but aren't "correct".
Do searches on ebay for these items to get an idea what you are looking for and prices, but again not everything on there is listed correctly.... Sad
