|
|
I've got the restoration guide, the factory 1967 assembly manual, the 1967 chassis and overhaul guides, and I can't find anything on how to remove the upper dash panel, not even an exploded drawing in the assembly manual.
I want to install new 40amp speakers, and I figured removing the upper dash panel would be the easiest way. Maybe not!
I don't have factory air, but I do have an under-dash unit. To drop it, I only have to remove two bolts. No biggie.
Any help appreciated, tia.

If 67 is anything like 68 there is a row screws along bottom edge of vinel
just above the metal, part of dash. and there are 4 nuts up from the
bottom, for nuts you will have to remove glove compartement,
inst cluster, radio, and heater control.
I dont know how this will help to install speakers, the steel frame is
just about solid under dash pad. Good luck, or install under dash |

John68 - thank you for the information - much appreciated. Going in from under the dash sounds like the right approach.
