Where can I see the casting number in big block chevy?? I have a 454 but wanted to know the year and hp rating if its possible. Tank you all in advance.

You can check a the back of the block, drivers side. There is a number there. Thatīs the casting number for your motor. Lots of info can be taken from that simple number. Check this post to see which engine you have.
