| I have a 1967 F-Body and i want to do a LS1/T56 swap. I found a yard that specializes in 98-02 LS1 F-Bodies by my house, they give you the engine, trans, wireing harness, pedales and the clutch hydraulic system. Iv read alot of articles on this topic and some say "you need to do this" and others say "you need to do that". If theres any one that has or knows someone that has or did a First gen Camaro LS1/T56 swap could you tell me what needed to be done to get it up and running. |

I did the swap a year and a half ago. However, there were not a lot of ready made solutions when I did mine. The biggest factors in picking parts is how you intend to use the car when it is done and more importantly your budget. One thing I found when I did my swap was that people were more than happy to spend my money for me! If you are interested my husband kept a complete list of all the parts we purchased, what they cost, and where we bought them. However, we know there are many cheaper solutions than what we had availible.
Here is a link to the thread detailing my swap

My entire swap took 3 months from the day we bought the motor to the day I got it back from the exhaust shop and I feel it was three months well spent! If you have questions feel free to ask, we will help where we can. |
