Name is Russell Nield.
I own a 1994 3.4L Black V6 Chevy Camaro. I am here to tell you guys about an awesome opportunity and also to introduce myself and my car club in Torrance, CA - called West Coast F-Bodies.
I hope this is the proper place to put it, if not - feel free to move it around.
I am in need of a few specialty First Gen Camaros for a car show - one of *the* car shows to be exact, the Orange County Auto Show in Anaheim, CA.
Scott Settlemire has asked WCFB in co-operation with Rick Ryatt (Z28.com wolfpack founder), to organize a Heritage Camaro display comprised 100% of owners cars!
We are currently searching for owners who want to display their car INSIDE the convention center during the car show. This is a prestigious event, and one of the largest in So Cal. The event is only open to Camaros, not Firebirds (Trans-Am) - sorry, but that's what we've been asked to gather.
Participants of the show must bring their car on the 30th of September to the Anaheim Convention Center and leave it there for the duration of the show (GM is not responsible for transportation to/from the event.)
GM will be supplying floor space and security in the form of "stanchions" (barricades) that will prevent show-goers from getting within 3 feet of the owners vehicles. The convetion center - i am sure - also has their own security which will assure the safety of the vehicles.
REQUIREMENTS:
All vehicles must be close-to-stock in exterior appearance, no ladder bars, no slicks/skinnies, NOS bottles must be hidden or removed, basically street trim ONLY!
The following "classes" have been arranged and we are currently searching for cars to fill spots:
*Note: just because this says filled does not mean that we cant use more, it simply means we have gotten at least 1 car for this spot, depending on whether or not we can find other vehicles in the list below, we will include more / less of the same generation/year/model in the car show floor planning. So, send your info in if you are interested, even if the spot is already filled!

Note: We have gotten a lot of submissions for the first/second gen cars and the focus from me is to get more third and fourth gen cars. Any submissions must be directed to:
info at wcfbs.org
Only a select few cars will be chosen to participate.
The following information IS REQUIRED BY GM when submitting:
(The following is for contact purposes ONLY!)
Real Owner Name
Real Address(can be PO Box)
Real Telephone Number
It would be helpful if you could also send a photograph of your vehicle and/or a description (its hard to tell certain (1993-1997) cars apart exterior wise, especially if badges are removed)
The sooner you get your car information to us, the better as this is only one month away! Also, If you know someone who might be interested, please pass this information along to them.
Thanks everyone!
