I have a 12 bolt rear axle I am trying to identify, so I can replace some brake parts. I found the axle stamping, but can only make out 'KAS _ _ _ Wo1'. I am not even sure about the last 3 characters.

I also found 'GM82' on the housing, which I think means 8.2.

Are there any other identification numbers that would help me figure out what brakes I have, so I can replace some parts?

well that wont give you much ID about the brakes. the 8.2 and the 12 bolt used the same drum brakes 9.5x2" if memory serve me. and they were basically the same from 65-81 on A and F bodys or even 91 on some caprices. there were some minor differences in wheel cyl piston sizes but the shoes and hardware and drums are all pretty common. was there any particular parts your looking for?
