I have recently purchased a 67 Camaro, VIN ending in N100031. I know the car because my father-in-law purchased it from the Zone Office in March of 67.
The car is in original condition, except that the original engine and drive train were replaced at the GM factory after it was driven 5,000 miles by the Zone Office, just before my father-in-law bought it.
I have been told the engine was pulled to study wear and tear after 5,000 miles were put on, but I don't know if this is true. I would like to contact GM and see if they have any records of this happening. I'd also like to know if they have built information on this car, as I also have been told this was the first convertible produced on the line.
If anyone can help me with a way I can research this with GM, I would really appreciate it. |
