If the original paint is long since gone, how can I tell if my ragtop is/was an RS? From what I have read the stripes were the only external indication. I am in the process of trying to sell this 'daily driver' project car and would really appreciate some detailed help not to let myself get taken due to my ignorance. Thank you for your help.

Any interest in buying may also respond to blhurlock2@msn.com

The cowl tag will have the Z22 RPO code, if the car was a real RS. As for external features of the RS package the car would feature hideaway lights, solid red taillights and backup lights in the rear lower valence panel. The paint on the car was not an indication of what packages were original to the car.

Here is a pic of my 67 cowl tag You will see numbers and letters towards the bottom. IF the car is a real rs it will have the 3L designation. If that is missing, it isn't a real rs..... Sad
