The largest factory installed engine Chevrolet put into a Camaro was a 396 ci. However, a few Chevrolet dealers and performance shops purchased 427 engines from Chevrolet and replaced the factory installed 350 ci engine, along with many other performance upgrades and unique exterior graphics and labeling. Yenko, Baldwin and Dickey were one of the most popular Chevrolet dealers to build these specialty performance cars. If you have a 427 engine in your car, it most definetly was not the factory installed motor. If you have documentation or some other means to verify your car was created by one of these dealers, you own a extreamly rare car and I wish I were you.
